What's New

On this page you will find the latest news, initiatives and funding opportunities from the Capital Region Workforce Investment Board (WIB) as well as the Greater Capital Region Workforce Coalition (GCRWIB).

The Capital Region Workforce Development Board (WDB) is requesting proposals from qualified sources to provide year-round services to WIOA eligible youth in accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and in accordance with the stipulations contained in the Request For Proposal (RFP).

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from organizations interested in establishing collaborations to provide comprehensive educational, development and employment preparation services via a skills-based design to WIOA eligible youth age 14-24, with an emphasis on serving Out-of-School Youth. The Capital Region WDB is looking to fund programs that address the academic, occupational, social, economic, and personal needs of the region's disadvantaged youth in the youth category that result in measurable outcomes and meet the established federal and state performance measures.
